Bronze Lunaria annua silver dollar from midsummer
Collected from a roadside path, the Lunaria or Honesty plant was brought to North America with the pilgrims as a decorative edible garden plant. To me, it is most recognized by the silver paper-thin seed pods at the end of the season. Cast in bronze with a bright finish highlighted by the blackened antique finish to bring out the subtle form of the seeds, shown here long on a sturdy sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp.
